How to Design a Bedroom

How will you design a bedroom of your own? Where to start?
This article will help you design your bedroom. This is great for teenagers who have realized that they have grown out of their kiddie rooms, people who have transferred to a new home or just for people who want a change in their lives.
In room decorating, it is important to plan first before plunging head first and buying furniture and décor that will probably not fit.
First step is to take inventory of the items you have and the space you are going to work on. To make sure that everything will fit, you should measure and graph your room.
Take note of where the door (and how it opens) and windows are. Once drawn on a graphing paper, you can start drawing in the things that you need: a bed, desk, vanity table, couch, arm chair hest drawers, etc.
But then, before you design a bedroom through the graph, you may want to first conceptualize what your room should look like. With the items you have, what will you keep and what will you throw out? Do you need to buy anything?
Make sure that the color scheme is complementary. If you see that some of your furniture clash with the color scheme, you may have to decide if you are going to keep them.
You may also try changing their color by repainting. Or if you have a couch, you can throw in shroud to match the color scheme.
Make sure that all your décor and furniture has a feeling of unity – that special pieces stand out but still looks as if it belongs in the room.
Also make sure that there is a proper traffic pattern. For example is your dresser near the door of your bathroom?
Make sure that it is easy to walk through. Keep in mind your usual routine when you are in your room as you design a bedroom.
